Review: With You Here by Sarah Monzon

5 Stars!
Ahh, happy sigh! After reading (and loving!) the first three books in the Carrington Family series earlier this year, I was super excited for Amber's story! With You Here did not disappoint, it was everything I dreamed it would be and so much more! While our lives are different I could relate to Amber in so many ways. I too know what it's like to wonder if God has actually called you to something or if it was actually your own voice you heard, so her story deeply touched me and inspired my heart! I am seven years older than Amber was in this book, but I too made a commitment to purity as a teen, and have never been kissed nor gone on a date, and this story was a beautiful reminder of why I'm waiting for the right man and totally renewed my hope that there is still a man out there that God created for me, and me for him!
I loved Seth so much, he is so sweet and such a good man, and I couldn't help smiling every time he appeared on the page!
I loved this book so much! I adored everything about it and it was an absolute delight to read! With You Here is right up there among my favorites of Sarah Monzon's books and I know I'll definitely be rereading it in the future! With You Here is without question one for the keeper shelf! I highly, HIGHLY recommend it! Be sure to grab yourself a copy, you will not be sorry!

EXCERPT

Liz knocked, then pushed open the front door of the new extension David and Josslyn had just moved into days ago. The sound of total bedlam reached her ears, and she smiled at Mia’s raised eyebrows. The dogs were barking and the kids yelling, and they all came charging in their direction the moment she called out a hesitant hello.
“STAY!” Liz stepped in front of Mia and put up a hand. Diggory and Jasper screeched to a halt on the new terracotta tiles, tails wagging, tongues lolling. But the twins paid no mind and launched their little bodies at her with an exuberance she could hardly ignore. Liz crouched to hug her niece and nephew and shot a side look at Mia, who was hovering by the front door. “You okay with dogs? And kids?”
“I guess.” She didn’t look too concerned. Liz stood and pointed at the dogs. “This is Diggory, that’s Jasper. They’re very friendly.” To prove the point, they both lolloped toward Mia, licking her hands when she attempted to pet them.
“Do the kids have names or just the dogs?” A giggle shot out of Mia. Liz startled at the sound. She wouldn’t have believed it if she hadn’t been standing beside her.

Review: Ford by Susan May Warren

5 Stars!
Eeep! *swoons over Ford*
If only it was possible for me to give this book more than 5 stars! I have been loving the Montana Marshalls series, and having already met youngest brother Ford (and fallen head over heels in love with him!) in the previous book, Tate I have been eagerly anticipating Ford and Scarlett's story, and wow did it surpass all my expectations! I loved the first two books, but Ford is by far my favorite book of the series so far! This book was everything I dreamed it would be and so much more!
In my opinion Ford is Susan May Warren's best book yet! I absolutely adored everything about this book, and I couldn't stop reading! There's so much more I want to say about this amazing book, but I don't want to risk giving anything away so I will just say that this book kept me enthralled from beginning to end! I was totally and completely spellbound by this story, and I absolutely loved every moment I spent reading it! This whole series so far is incredible and I highly HIGHLY recommend it. The books in the series can standalone if necessary, but trust me, you're not going to want to miss a moment of this fabulous series! I am dying to read Wyatt and see what happens next in the Marshall family saga!

Review: Vow of Justice by Lynette Eason

5 Stars!
Incredible! This book is further evidence of why Lynette Eason has a permanent spot on my list of favorite authors! She never disappoints, and always yanks me into her stories at page one! I can now officially say that the Blue Justice series is my favorite series of Lynette's to date, and I am absolutely thrilled to say that I simply cannot choose a favorite book in the series, they are all equally fantabulous! I don't want to risk giving anything away so I will just say that I loved catching up with the St. John family, I loved Linc and Allie, I loved the moments of humor sprinkled in at just the right time, and I loved the suspense that had me teetering on the edge of my seat!
In short, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED everything about this phenomenal book, and it met and totally exceeded all my expectations! Even though thinking about saying goodbye to the St. John family makes me want to cry, I am so thankful I got to go on this adventure with them all! I'm always in my happy place when reading a Lynette Eason book, her amazing stories of good triumphing over evil never fail to thrill me, and I cannot wait to read her next book! Vow of Justice is an absolute must read, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

About the Author

Tabitha is a small-town girl with an oversized imagination. She grew up creating characters and enjoys giving them life through words and pages. Just one year shy of obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing, she plans to make sure her characters stand the test of time. When not writing or reading, you’ll find her either homeschooling her two boys or outside digging a new flower bed for her roses.

More from Tabitha

Danny and Phoenix are the main characters in Trial by Patience, but Danny isn’t a new character. As part of The Trials series, Danny is introduced in book 1 as a scrappy six-year-old. Two years after I finished writing book 1, he’s twenty-eight. (Don’t you love how time can be manipulated in the literary world.) Fun fact: When I wrote book 1: Trial by Courage, I had no idea Danny would get his own book. God works in mysterious ways and His sense of humor astounds me. I had a million ideas and half-started manuscripts littered my desk but I had no idea what to focus on next. Within two weeks of Trial by Courage’s release, three people asked me when Danny’s story would be ready. The first time, I blinked slowly and shrugged (I wasn’t about to tell them I had no intention of writing about Danny). Second time, I laughed. Third time, I knew it was an honest question and I started writing. A year later, I typed THE END, had an author copy printed and handed it over to my sister for proofing. Little did I know I wasn’t anywhere near finished. Danny’s story would NOT leave me alone. I was constantly trying to reassure myself that it was done, just minor adjustments…boy was I wrong! Six months ago, I realized I needed to change the ending, which lead to a complete rewrite of the last half of the book and major changes in the beginning chapters. Talk about scary, and exciting, but mostly scary. I even made another copy of the original script in case I changed my mind about this new ending. I shouldn’t have worried. I’m in love with this new copy and every angsty minute that went into making Trial by Patience the book it is today.

My Thoughts:

This was a new to me author so I wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as I read the description I knew I'd enjoy this book so I jumped at the chance to request a review copy! Wow, what a great story! I enjoyed it from the very beginning. I instantly liked Phoenix and Danny, my heart broke for all that each of them had been through, they are survivors and it was beautiful to watch them strengthen and encourage each other, almost as if they instinctively knew exactly what the other needed to feel safe and to heal! I also have to say that I fell absolutely head over heels in love with Grant (Danny's younger brother) and I am so hoping that the author will write his story next, because I so want to read it!
I am a lifelong horse lover and owner, so I know firsthand the magical healing power they possess, and how God uses them to heal and reach people that nothing else can, and so I was totally drawn in by the equine therapy aspect of the story, and it was absolutely phenomenal! I loved it SOOOO much and I was so happy to see that the author got all the equine details right, bravo!
Overall, this is an awesome story that I loved reading and highly recommend! I look forward to reading more of this author's work in the future!

Review: Deadly Intentions by Lisa Harris

5 Stars!
Wowza! What a fabulous romantic suspense! I have read and loved several of this author's books in the past, so of course I jumped at the chance to review this new one!
Deadly Intentions was SOOOO good, I was sucked into the story on page one and hated to stop reading!
I absolutely loved that the heroine and I share the same first name (and even the exact same spelling!) and it was also super interesting that we both happen to hate parking garages!
And, the hero Josh was so smart, sweet, and swoon-worthy, I loved him! The suspense in this book was nonstop with so many twists and turns that I never knew what would happen next, which I absolutely loved!
Overall, I absolutely loved Deadly Intentions, it's right up there among my favorites of Lisa Harris's books that I have read so far! I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read this author's next book!
