Review: Once Upon a Summer by Andrea Boyd, Toni Shiloh, Teresa Tysinger, and Jaycee Weaver

This is an absolutely delightful collection of contemporary fairytale retellings that will give you all the feels! I love all four of these authors' writing and these novellas are all so great! I so enjoyed the twists on these classic stories, and it was super fun that they were all set during summer! I loved getting to travel virtually through the different stories, especially to France in Toni Shiloh's An Ever After Summer! Once Upon a Summer is a fantastic collection and I highly recommend it! This collection would make the perfect beach or pool read, be sure to add it to your summer TBR, this is one you don't wanna miss!

Review: Glory Falls by Janine Rosche

Oh my word, what a gorgeously written conclusion to the Madison River Romance series! I am a forever fan of Janine Rosche's books, I adore everything she writes! I was swept away and enthralled from page one of Glory Falls and I hated to put it down (I read it in about 24 hours!) Blue and Thomas were excellent main characters (I've been looking forward to reading Thomas's story since first meeting him in This Wandering Heart, and what a heart-melting hero he is, I loved him so much, and his story was everything I dreamed it would be and so much more!) I think Shane and Thomas are now tied for my favorite hero of the series (don't feel left out, Robbie, I love you too!) I am so grateful that I don't have to choose just one favorite hero! I also adored Thomas's yellow lab, Molly, she never failed to make me smile! This book brought me such joy from beginning to end, I simply couldn't contain my grin! I adored every second of this book, and there is not a single thing about Glory Falls that I didn't absolutely love, it's one of my favorite reads of 2021 and I most highly recommend the entire series! I cannot wait for this author's next book, and incidentally I just got the notification that my Netgalley request for Aspen Crossroads was approved, now comes the age old struggle, do I give in to the temptation and dive in ASAP or make myself wait until closer to release date so I'll have less time to have to wait for the one that comes after it? #booknerdproblems

Review: Lady Wynwood's Spies1: Archer by Camille Elliot

A great, fantastically unique novel! This is the first book by Camille Elliot that I've read and I enjoyed this take on regency London. I really liked Phoebe and I could relate to her quite a lot as I too am tall for a woman, and I am an archer (though I am much less skilled than Phoebe and I only do target practice for fun, I don't compete like she does) and I loved seeing her rise to the occasion and help people in ways she wouldn't previously have thought possible. There were a lot of characters in this book and I sometimes had trouble keeping them all straight in my mind. There were lots of exciting parts in this story but overall it didn't hold my interest throughout the way I'd hoped for. I've never read a serial novel before so I don't know what is normal for the development of a romantic relationship in this type of story, but I was a bit disappointed there wasn't more romance between Phoebe and Michael in this story, though I do realize their relationship will likely develop further in future books. 

Overall, I'm glad I read this super unique and original regency story and I definitely recommend it!
