Review: If I Live by Terri Blackstock

5 Stars!
I have loved this series since the beginning of book one, so needless to say I was super looking forward to this book! Wow, this book blew my mind! I did not want to stop reading! This book was just fabulous, the suspense was amazing as always, and the character growth and development throughout this series was absolutely phenomenal. Reading this book was like getting to spend time with old friends, I love both Casey and Dylan! I don't want to risk giving anything away, so I will end by saying that I loved every minute of this book, the ending was just so perfect! I highly recommend this book and series, but it's one that is definitely best read in order.

I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher, which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

Review: Beneath the Surface by Lynn H. Blackburn

4 Stars!
This was my first read by this author and it will definitely not be my last! I was first intrigued by the description, but I have to admit that what sealed the deal on me wanting to read it was the glowing endorsement from Lynette Eason (one of my all time favorite authors!) I was pulled into this book from page one and truly hated to set it down! Leigh and Ryan were fabulous main characters, I loved that they had known each other since they were children so they were friends first before beginning a romantic relationship! But, I think Gabe Chavez was my very favorite character, I loved him so much, he was just awesome and a total riot, he made me laugh so many times in this book!
The faith story in this book was so real and very inspiring, it touched my heart and was one of my favorite parts of the book!
The suspense in this book was very good, a bit predictable in places but that really didn't bother me, and I did not guess the identity of the villain before it was revealed, which was great!
The only reasons I rated it four stars instead of five are: first, that there were a couple of plot threads that seemed (at least to me) they were left unconfirmed/not fully explained. Second, as the title of this series is Dive Team Investigations I was expecting quite a lot of diving scenes, and I was quite surprised and a bit disappointed that there was really only one dive scene, as I had hoped for more diving.
Though these things did affect my rating, they did not in any way lessen my overall enjoyment of the novel!
Overall, I really did love this book and look forward to reading more of Lynn's work! Beneath the Surface was a great start to a new series, I highly recommend it, and I am very much looking forward to the next book!

Review: Grace Restored by Toni Shiloh

5 Stars!
Toni Shiloh is one of my all time favorite authors, I've read and loved all of her books to date. After meeting Guy and Michelle last year in the first book in the series, Returning Home, I was so looking forward to their story! I was absolutely not disappointed! Grace Restored is such a beautiful, moving, and incredibly amazing book, I know there is no way my review will come anywhere close to doing this fabulous book justice, but I will try. I was pulled into this story from the first page and hated to set it down, because I HAD to know what would happen next! I love the pace of Toni's writing, it's not too fast, but still things move right along, which I absolutely love and always makes the pages fly! Guy and Michelle each have so much hurt and pain in their past, and it was absolutely fantastic to watch them each start to heal and grow in their relationship with Jesus! And their romance was every bit as sweet and swoon-worthy as I knew it would be.
I also absolutely adored Guy's daughters, they were just too cute for words.
The faith story is one of my favorite parts of Toni's books, and I was totally blown away by the faith story in Grace Restored! I loved every minute of this book so much, and hated to see it end! Grace Restored is definitely a must read.
I highly recommend this book as well as the first in the series, Returning Home to those who love Christian contemporary romance with a spectacular, deep faith story!
I cannot wait for Toni's next book, and I am super anticipating Chloe and Darryl's story!

Note: this book is very clean, but due to some of the heavy subject matter I wouldn't recommend this book for anyone younger than 16.

Review: A Chance at Forever by Melissa Jagears

5 Stars!
I have been loving this series and I was highly anticipating Mercy's story! This book was phenomenal, I loved every single minute! I already knew that I really liked Mercy, so I was sure that I would love her hero too, there is just something about a hero who is working super hard to be better and overcome his past mistakes, and doesn't feel that he deserves to be loved that never fails to make me swoon, and Aaron was no exception, what a hero, I was totally in love with him from the first chapter on!
I loved, loved, LOVED this book and it just may be my favorite of the series! I also loved the continuation of the secondary characters' (Caroline and Henri; Sadie and Franklin) stories that we got in this book, those story threads were tied up brilliantly and put the biggest smile on my face! While there are so many parts of this book that I absolutely love, my most favorite part was the epilogue, it just concluded both this book and the entire series in such a beautiful and absolutely perfect way, ahh! so good, it had me grinning from ear to ear and not wanting to say goodbye to my friends in Teaville!
I don't know what else to say except that I absolutely adored this book, highly recommend it, and cannot wait for Melissa Jagears' next book!

Review: A Loyal Heart by Jody Hedlund

5 Stars!
I have been loving Jody's Medieval YA books, and I was very excited when I learned there would be a fourth book in the series! Aldric was a very intriguing character in the previous book, and it was so interesting to get to know him and see him overcome the pain and mistakes of his past! I loved Olivia, her personality is so much like me, we are both strong, stubborn, and independent, yet fiercely loyal to and protective of those we love! It was beautiful to watch their relationship develop and I especially loved the message that this book portrays about two things that are very important in relationships: communication, and having respect for the other person's views and opinions rather than just trying to get your own way all the time, what a fabulous reminder for us all and especially teen readers of this book! The faith story was fabulous and touched my heart deeply.
Overall, I loved A Loyal Heart and highly recommend it! I look forward to reading whatever future YA books this author writes, and I am hoping for a story featuring Sir Darien and Lady Isabelle at some point!
