Review: Enduring Love by Toni Shiloh

5 Stars!
WARNING: this review probably won't be much more than a total gush-fest. You have been warned! ;)
How do I even begin to describe all the things I loved about this book?! Well, for starters it's TONI SHILOH! She is one of my all-time favorite authors, and I know without a doubt that I would be enthralled with a phone book or appliance owner's manual if Toni was the one writing it! Like all of Toni's books these characters grabbed me at page one and wouldn't let go! I totally fell for Micah last year when he first appeared in the previous book, Finding Love, and I was beyond excited when I heard that book three was his story, I LOVED HIM SO MUCH in this book. He is such a kind, patient, generous, caring, protective, amazing man, and best of all he loves Jesus with everything in him! I'm serious, ladies! Micah Campbell is total swoon-worthy book boyfriend material (But then so are ALL of the heroes Toni writes!)
I instantly liked Belle, my heart broke for all she had been through and I found myself wanting to give her a hug and be her friend! Even though I haven't gone through anything even remotely similar to what she did, I could really relate to her personal struggle between wanting to dress modestly and not attract attention to herself, but at the same time wanting to wear clothes that were flattering, and pretty, and at times wondering if it is even possible to have both.
The faith story in this book deeply touched my heart and I felt myself growing in my faith right alongside the characters!
I loved everything about this book SOOOO MUCH, and was in a state of pure bliss every moment I was reading it! Getting to visit all my old friends again was so awesome. I love Maple Run, it's one of my favorite fictional towns and I can't wait for my next visit!
Overall, I adored every moment of Enduring Love and highly recommend it (as well as all of Toni's other books!) to each and every fan of Christian contemporary romance. Read it, you won't be sorry, but be prepared to set aside plenty of free time before you begin because you will be swept away and glued to the page until you turn the final one!
Enduring Love has a spot on my list of favorite reads of 2018, and I am eagerly anticipating Nikki and Shorty's story!

Review: A Defense of Honor by Kristi Ann Hunter

5 Stars!
Another absolutely splendid novel from Kristi Ann Hunter! I have been eagerly anticipating this first novel in the Haven Manor series since March when I read the prequel novella, A Search for Refuge! I knew A Defense of Honor was going to be fabulous and to say that I was not disappointed would be a humongous understatement, I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH! This story grabbed hold of me on page one and would not let go! When I pick up a book by this author I know I'm in for a super fun, witty ride that somehow also manages to strengthen my faith, touch my heart, and make me think, and that is exactly what A Defense of Honor did! I will be thinking about this story for a long time to come. I loved Kit, Daphne, and Jess (I loved Jess in A Noble Masquerade, and I was thrilled to get to hang out with her again!) not to mention all the delightful children! And Graham, oh my word! What a noble, Godly, caring, lovable, hilarious, swoon-worthy hero. Kit, you're one lucky lady! These characters have become like dear friends to me and I so look forward to hanging out with them again!
I also absolutely loved watching Kit and Graham grow in their faith, the faith journey they took has challenged and inspired me in my own life, and was exactly what I needed to read at this point in my life!
I don't want to risk spoiling anything so I will just say that I absolutely adored every moment I spent reading this book, and hated to see it end, but a sigh of happiness escaped my lips when I turned the final page! A Defense of Honor is one of my favorite reads of 2018 so far, I definitely plan on rereading it in the future, and I can't wait for the rest of the series! Highly recommended, I would give it every star in the sky if I could, but alas I am forced to limit my rating to five stars! Seriously, read it, read it, READ IT, you will not be sorry!

Review: Falling for You by Becky Wade

5 Stars!
Wow! Just, wow! This book is beyond AMAZING! Having read and loved all of Becky's books to date, I knew I would enjoy this one, but it went above and beyond every single one of my expectations which I admit were incredibly high to begin with. I have no words to express just how much I loved every single thing about this book!
Willow and Corbin were awesome main characters! I instantly liked Willow and found myself relating to her a lot more than I expected to. Corbin was hilarious, he had me laughing out loud more times than I can count. I loved watching them fall in love all over again, but I especially loved watching them both turn to God in all their beautiful brokenness. The pages of this book contain what  just may be my very favorite faith story of all Becky's books so far, it was phenomenal, grabbed my heart and would not let go!
I also loved the twelve year old precocious tornado of fun and sarcasm that is Charlotte Dixon! She's such a riot, never a dull moment when she was on the page!
Another thing that I loved so, so much about Falling for You was the mystery the characters were investigating, it was so well written and just absolutely fabulously well done!
I was pulled into the book from the first page, and to be honest I don't think I've truly left yet, nor am I likely to at any time in the near future! Have I mentioned that I loved this book?! I haven't? Well, shame on me because I LOVED IT SO MUCH I CAN'T HELP BUT GUSH! This one has a permanent spot on my keeper shelf, and is on my list of favorite reads of 2018!
Read it, read it, READ IT! You won't be sorry!

Review: The Hidden Side by Heidi Chiavaroli

5 Stars!
Wow! How do I even begin to describe the amazingness that is this book?! Fair warning: this may be a short review as I am having a hard time finding words to do this fabulous book justice, but I will do my best. The Hidden Side is an absolutely incredible book that will take you on a journey that has the power to change your life! This isn't a light read, it features lots of hot-topics, but they are handled with grace and presented in such a way as to inspire great compassion in the reader, as well as being very moving and thought provoking, this would make a fabulous book club read! I loved reading this book, the historical and contemporary stories were both equally well written, and I thoroughly enjoyed them both. The faith story is absolutely phenomenal, God's truth and love leaps from every single page and straight into the reader's heart!
I think I might have loved Heidi's debut, Freedom's Ring a tiny bit more than The Hidden Side, but I loved them both so much and they both have a permanent spot on my keeper shelf!
Overall, I loved every moment I spent reading this book and I highly recommend it to all fans of stories that feature fabulous depth, powerful emotions, characters that feel so real they seem to jump right off the page, and a phenomenal faith story. The Hidden Side is one that is not to be missed!

Review: Kill Shot by Susan Sleeman

3.5 Stars
I have very mixed feelings about this book. It was a good book, that I enjoyed reading, but I'm sorry to say that I didn't love it the way I did the first book in the series. After loving book one SOOO much I think perhaps my expectations were so insanely high that no book probably would have been able to live up to them. I did love the main characters Rick and Olivia, their faith stories and character growth were fabulous, and I loved watching them fall in love! There were a lot of parts of the book that were very interesting, and I adored getting to hang out again with the rest of the White Knights team. But, I kept feeling there weren't nearly as many suspense/action scenes as I was expecting. The suspense ramped up a lot near the ending which was perhaps my favorite part of the book, but it also sort of felt like it was a bit too little, too late at that point.
Overall, while it didn't become a favorite I did still enjoy Kill Shot and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Review: No One Ever Asked by Katie Ganshert

5 Stars!
Katie Ganshert has been on my list of all time favorite authors ever since I discovered her first novel, shortly after it was published! While I love all of her previous novels, No One Ever Asked is, in my opinion the BEST novel she's written to date! Let me start by saying that this review may be kind of short, because I am having a hard time finding the words to describe just how much I loved this book, and I know that there is no possible way my review will come anywhere close to doing this amazing book justice, but I will do my best! Filled with a multitude of hot button topics this book is not a light read, it is a book that makes you think, a book that fills your heart with empathy and compassion, a book that takes you on a journey that WILL change your life! This book is exactly what the world needs, everyone should read this book. In my opinion No One Ever Asked should be required reading on the curriculum of every college (and perhaps high school, too) in America!
I loved every minute of this book, these characters had me completely enthralled from page one and didn't let go until I finished the book, scratch that they still haven't let go, and I sincerely hope that they and their stories never fade from my mind and my heart! No One Ever Asked is one of the best books I've ever read (it impacted me in a way that no book other than To Kill a Mockingbird ever has) and it deserves every one of the awards I am certain it will receive! Mere words cannot describe how highly I recommend No One Ever Asked! Everyone, please, please read it!
This book has the power to change the world, will you allow it to open your eyes and perhaps change the way you view the world?
