Review of A Place To Belong by Lauraine Snelling 4 Stars!!!
A great conclusion to a great series!
After reading and enjoying Whispers In The Wind, the second book in this series, last year. I couldn't wait to read the rest of Cassie's story! Now, that being said, I didn't love A Place To Belong as much as the second book. It was still really good, but the first half was pretty slow moving, and it didn't really feel like very much happened to advance the story for a while. Because of these things, there were times when I debated not finishing it, but I am happy to say I persevered and the ending was completely worth it! I really liked how realistic the romance was in this one. Another thing I loved about this one is that Cassie and the Engstrom's really felt like family to me, I felt like I had taken up residence on the Bar E ranch! While this book didn't quite make my favorites list, I still really enjoyed it and I can't wait to go back and read the first book Valley Of Dreams which I haven't read yet. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys books set in the wild west, that feature strong heroines!
Oh, and I just have to say that I am in love with Cassie's horse Wind Dancer! I would love to see the author feature these characters in a future book because I really wasn't ready to say goodbye yet!!!
I received this book for free from Bethany House publishers in exchange for my honest review. The above is my honest opinion.
