Review of Wildflowers From Winter by Katie Ganshert 5 Stars

I absolutely loved this book! I was drawn in from the first page and only put it down in order to sleep from that point on! In general, I really love debut novels. I think it's because there is an innocence and purity in them that shines through (And that sadly all too often vanishes the more books an author publishes) And Katie Ganshert's Wildflowers From Winter most definitely did not disappoint! I can't even begin to name all the things I loved about this book (Since I loved pretty much everything) And I won't try, but only because I am so incredibly impressed with every bit of this novel! Wildflowers From Winter touched me in a very personal way. I don't think I have ever read a book that felt more real to me. I literally felt like I was living this story right along with the characters! A testament to the great talent and skill of the author! Due to the fact I have lived my entire life on a farm, I could relate to many aspects of this book. In fact one of my favorite scenes is when Evan our hero, works out his frustration and grief by doing something useful and practical, breaking the ice on the cows water tank. I really can't find words to describe how much I enjoyed this book! I can't wait to read more from this author! I highly recommend Wildflowers from Winter I recieved this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah in exchange for an honest review, my review was not required to be positive, the above review is my honest opinion. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
