Review of Fortress Of Mist by Sigmund Brouwer 5 Stars!!!

This is the second book of this authors that I have read, I loved the first book in this series The Orphan King when I read it last year. So I jumped at the chance to review Fortress Of Mist.

I loved this book just as much as the first one, it has a great setting in Medieval England! It was awesome to see what had happened since the last book, I loved getting acquainted with the characters all over again, I especially loved that Katherine played a larger role in this book. As with the first book of the series Fortress Of Mist is very much an escapist read, and the pages absolutely fly, I couldn't put it down!
While some questions were answered, there are still so many more yet to be answered! I am hooked on this series, and especially after the killer cliffhanger at the end of Fortress Of Mist, I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!!!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the Young Adult fantasy genre, although I would recommend that you read book one The Orphan King, first so that you know the background of the story.

Review of A Change Of Fortune by Jen Turano 5 Stars!!!

I loved this book! The thing I loved most is that this amazing story is a 300+ page humorfest! :) Honestly, I laughed aloud through almost the entire story, sometimes several times a page!  But this story is so much more than that, I loved the time period, setting, storyline, dialogue, and just about everything else especially the characters, ah the characters, what can I say except that they are brilliant! I think my favorites were Eliza, Agatha and Zayne, although I also really liked Hamilton and his children Piper and Ben were absolutely adorable! I am so looking forward to the next book, because it is about Hamilton and Zayne's sister Arabella, even though she didn't appear in this book and was only mentioned briefly, I already know that I will love her! I don't think I have ever found a historical fiction book that is also an amazing escapist read as well,  A Change Of Fortune does this amazingly, I was completely sucked out of my world and into the world of New York in 1880! I definitely anticipate reading it several more times in the future! All the humor in this book is guaranteed to make you smile!  Okay I'll stop raving now and just say what I would tell a friend about this book! You  have got to read this book as soon possible!  Read A Change Of Fortune you will not regret it! I received this book for free from Bethany House publishers in exchange for my honest review. Review of Wildflowers From Winter by Katie Ganshert 5 Stars

I absolutely loved this book! I was drawn in from the first page and only put it down in order to sleep from that point on! In general, I really love debut novels. I think it's because there is an innocence and purity in them that shines through (And that sadly all too often vanishes the more books an author publishes) And Katie Ganshert's Wildflowers From Winter most definitely did not disappoint! I can't even begin to name all the things I loved about this book (Since I loved pretty much everything) And I won't try, but only because I am so incredibly impressed with every bit of this novel! Wildflowers From Winter touched me in a very personal way. I don't think I have ever read a book that felt more real to me. I literally felt like I was living this story right along with the characters! A testament to the great talent and skill of the author! Due to the fact I have lived my entire life on a farm, I could relate to many aspects of this book. In fact one of my favorite scenes is when Evan our hero, works out his frustration and grief by doing something useful and practical, breaking the ice on the cows water tank. I really can't find words to describe how much I enjoyed this book! I can't wait to read more from this author! Review of Christy Miller Collection Volume One by Robin Jones Gunn 4 Stars!!!

This is an excellent book! In my opinion this series is very relatable to tween and teen girls of any age and background. The characters are all very realistic and likable. I really liked how faith and having a relationship with God were such prominent aspects of these first three books of this series. These books are excellent examples of learning life lessons and finding true forever friends! But best of all teens will learn that their commitment to and love for God ALWAYS comes first! These books have a timeless quality about them and in my opinion will never be out of print, as they will continue being excellent reads for teen girls! This was my first time reading books by this author, but I really liked her writing style! I highly recommend this series to all teens, in this day of very impure young adult books, these are books that their parents will approve of!!!
